Need to get a large video file across the country before 10am tomorrow morning? The logical solution up until now has often been to use FedEx, UPS or to get on a plane yourself. A Boston, MA online video collaboration platform company called MediaSilo is looking to change all that by introducing a new service called ExpressBox. In a press release the company says ExpressBox is a “service that offers accelerated point to point file transfers and eliminates expensive overnight video deliveries.”
The press release goes on to say ExpressBox “removes file size limitations, allowing for transfers of up to 250 GB a file, anywhere in the world” The service is in beta currently and available to paying customers but also will be available on an on-demand basis starting in December 2010.
We hope to test the service soon to see for ourselves how quick and effective the service is with large video files. If it works well, video production companies around the world will rejoice!
Rewatchable is a Massachusetts video production company.
