When SAS came to Rewatchable looking for event video production for their 2011 Direct Marketing Association Keynote featuring bestselling author, speaker (and general advocate of marketers online video) David Meerman Scott, they asked for something different. We answered their call by filling the auditorium with over half a dozen recording devices – everything from DSLRs with telephoto lenses to standard video cameras to iPhones. We then put the video together in a very un-event-like fashion, with quick, dramatic, energetic cuts, stylized color grading, and even some untreated handheld shots to make the video version of the event feel as kinetic and alive as the actual presentation. The final result is an hour long adventure into the world of Real Time Marketing that almost feels more like a music video than a presentation.
